The Annual BC Elders Gathering has grown every year since the Coqualeetza Elders hosted the very first gathering 38 years ago with just a few dozen elders getting together to socialize, celebrate past accomplishments, share stories, knowledge and regenerate their emotional well-being for future work. This growth over the past four decades, now bring many thousands of smiling faces, beaming with excitement together from every region of our province. The importance to our Elders of community and coming together for the benefit of future generations cannot be overstated.

The 39th Annual BC Elders Gathering will be hosted by Chief Harvey Underwood, councillors Allan Claxton, Louis Claxton, Samantha Etzel, Elizabeth Hermsen, Toby Joseph, Joel Pelkey, Stanley Sam, John Wilson, all the members of the Tsawout First Nation with support from all the W̱SÁNEĆ Elders.
